Day Trip to Boulder - MyShadowProductions # 101

Buenos Dias a todos - just felt like “speaking Spanish” !

I forget sometimes but it is really easy to get to Union Station and then take the “Flatiron Flyer” (an RTD bus) to Boulder for a change of scenery and some nature. The travel time from my apartment door to the Downtown Boulder Station is about an hour and a half.

This trip I tried to walk a few different paths and see what I could see.

The path in the photo below was new for me as it was closed during COVID shutdowns for at least 18 months ?!?!?

The amount of water that comes down from the mountains as the snow melts is just amazing to me and so cool to watch :)

Sometimes Boulder can be “too Boulder” for me but at least there are many places to just kind of step aside and let things be (hypothetically :) that is.

I saw this statue of Chief Niwot:

                                                     The story is sad :(

Remember my previous Post #55 when I visited the Town of Niwot? Click here to re-visit.

Surprise, surprise but I took some photos and even created a movie/video for your viewing “pleasure”. Click here for a peak.

There are a few things “hidden” in the movie/video, did you notice them? Or did you “cheat” and read this part of the Blog before watching the movie/video? Remember, honesty is the best “policy” :)

I couldn’t resist and had my usual gyros sandwich

I saw this “old rock/Boulder” when I stopped for a little rest along the creek. In awe of nature’s ability to create everything that went into the history of “that rock”. Just look at the amazing straight lines/stratifications all created without experts, scientists, social media, special councils, studies, etc., etc., please pardon my rant :)

My thoughts were interrupted then, as that is when I noticed the snake in the photo above and “it was time to move on”. I was embarrassed that the snake probably sensed my thoughts. I am sure he had a very lovely day in spite of my visit :)

ENJOY !!!
