Another day another peso!

Felt energetic this morning and decided to make the uphill trek to El Charco del Ingenio jardín botánico, the local Botanic Garden.

They have a very nice website that explains the Canyon, the Dam, the Water Mill and the Reservoir and the Cacti and El Charco, the namesake.

A random hiker asked me “Are you a birder?”

I said “No, I am just a regular human being.”

Probably not the best answer?

I did see a Roadrunner bird though, so maybe I am a birder? You will have to take my word for it, it was too fast for me to get a photo!

My Shadow ( Mi Sombra) looks a little strange here? Like an angel? Like a shepherd? Like a birder?

You may have noticed, I had Mexican eggs again, very tasty with a spicy salsa, refried black beans, spinach, cheese, tortillas and bean sprouts (wonder if they were Mexican Jumping Bean sprouts?). The juga naranja (orange juice) tastes really great here!

In the afternoon I walked to Fabrica la Aurora which is only about a 15 minute walk from my hotel. It is a large, old textile factory that has been converted to a very cool setting for artists of all types, house accessories and furniture and antiques and 2 or 3 dining areas. Definitely a place to get rid of as many pesos as you want. They even list the US dollar price too for more fun! I took a few photos and here is the movie/video:

Again, no definite plans for tomorrow but I bet wherever I go I will be there!
